Benjamin Laading, among other things, paints huge pseudo-fat-cap images in a pointillist manner. It’s not the first time I’ve seen it done but it is the largest (sometimes the largest wins!). [via]

Elph- Black & White Sketchbook 2
Elph realised his second Black and white Sketchbook recently. If you’re quick, you may be in time to get one of the limited number that are left. If it’s as good as his last sketchbook then it’ll be a cracker.

Retna @ The The Dairy, London
It’s no secret that I’m a big Retna fan. His calligraphic work on the scale that he works with is stunning. So, I was more than excited to get an email in the inbox saying that he was on his way to the UK, London in fact. He’s set to show at The Old Dairy (7 Wakefield St, London, WC1N 1PB) between the 9th and 27th of June. I’m just about excited I can get about getting up to see his work in person and there’s no reason to think it will be any less stunning than everything else he’s done of the years. If you’re around London Town (even if you’re not) then it’s surely not one to miss.
Hyperflesh Masks
Bulbous kids head masks by Hyperflesh. Mental. Scary too. The video looks like a cut scene from an Aphex Twin vid. [via]
From Me To You
Among Jamie’s From Me To You photography portfolio are some really nice subtle .gifs. Imagine the photo here moving a little! [via]
Battle At F-Stop Ridge
A camera store creates a great little advert for their business. Make photos, not war – Battle At F-Stop Ridge. [via]

Out of Sight – Abandoned Spaces
Romanywg has another book coming out called Out of Sight – Abandoned Spaces. Like his last book, Beauty in Decay, it’s published by Carpet Bombing Culture and viewing the video trailer for the book pretty much shows that the book is going to be a real winner. I can’t wait to check it out.
Not all art craves attention, some of it hides in the secret places. Some of it is buried treasure, out in the urban wilderness, left scattered in empty rooms of derelict buildings like strange markings left by an unknown tribe. These works are gifts given only to the occasional explorer, found in abandoned factories, warehouses, industrial sites and deconsecrated churches. This is art you have to earn by leaving the designated areas and heading out past the No Entry signs of the urban environment.
