Nug has a book coming out. I say it’s a book but it’s more than that. It’s a piece of original art too. It’s been a while since I wished I had 50 euros spare to buy a book. More info – I am just trying to be nice. Make sure you check the video out as it shows the books’ unique covers being created.

A Band Called Death
I don’t even know where to start. It’s the early 1970s and a band of African American dudes from Detroit form a band. They start of playing R&B but quickly turn to an altogether different direction. Punk before punk. The band signed to a label but refused to change their name and then got dropped. They had recorded half of an album. Their story is being told in a documentary called A Band Called Death. In the meantime, I would recommend listening to the recordings. Big thanks to the always fresh Nerdcore for finding this one.

Paintwork
Tim Maughan’s short film Paintwork is “set in near-future Bristol […] it follows augmented reality graffiti artist 3Cube as she illegally transforms an all-too familiar advertising billboard into a work of high tech street art, and poses questions about the relationships between technology, advertising and the control of public spaces”.
