The Empty Show
Fourteen artists in Melbourne broke through security to get into the Australian Department of Defence’s disused pub / hotel, The Williamstown’s Brittania. When they got there they went to work on the place and created The Empty Show. A large crown arrived the next day to view the art work and 30 minutes later The Empty Show was closed by security. All that’s left to view is the photos, enjoy. [via]

Update (30/09/04) - Mark, from State Of Flux, has pointed out that there have been at least two other Empty Shows. He’s documented two of them himself, Canterbury, Victoria - 27th July 2003, and Fitzroy, Victoria - 17th Apr 2004.

There have been 4 Empty Show’s that I know about. I’ve taken photos of two of them which you can check out at…
Mark…
Cheers Mark, it’s funny you should mention that as I noticed one of them on your site yesterday and thought it was odd that it had the same name. I’ll add the links to the actual post.
