Arcade Ambiance Project
“…the golden age of arcades in the 1980s. This is a sound I think that has been lost over the years and does not exist in today’s pitiful arcades in my opinion.” Andy Hofle’s Arcade Ambiance Project is a series of three MP3 tracks, each of them around an hour long, of arcade hall sounds. He’s actually created them himself by recording himself playing the old classics with MAME (arcade machine emulator for those that don’t know). His motivation? “My main motivation for this project was to create some ambiance in my basement arcade.” [via]
