Beatallica Cease & Desist Served
Beatallica (more about them here) have been served a cease and desist order from Sony/ATV Music Publishing informing them that they have to remove the audio files from their site due to copyright infringement. I can see there point, both Sony and The Beatles really need the extra cash that Beatallica are stealing from under their noses and Beatallica’s music is totally un-enjoyable as well as offensive! It’s also worth remembering that while people are enjoying the Beatallica tunes they are no longer buying The Beatles’ CDs, or Metallica’s for that matter! Have these three parties not got enough money already? Jeez. If anything will ever force me into not buying from any RIAA affiliated record labels this kind of behaviour will. Anyway, good old Waxy is kindly hosting the tunes instead as a torrent file.
