London To Palermo On A Bike
On the 31st of July 2005 my cousin, Sam, and his buddy, Alex, are heading off on an epic journey from London To Palermo in Sicily. They’re hoping to do it in 45 days travelling 75 miles per day and are doing it all for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. They’re all set for the off…well they’re not but they’re going anyway! They’ve hooked themselves up with some gadgetry that will enable them to post photo and information updates direct to the site, check the Interactive Bike Blog regularly once they set off, should be great. On a personal level I’m not sure what the best way to sponsor them is…do I do it per mile? Maybe just a set amount for the whole trip? Nah, think I’ll sponsor them on how many times they fall off their bike (which was twice during a training run from London to Brighton so it should happen quite a few times over 2600 miles!). If anyone fancies sponsoring them or just donating to their chosen cause then feel free, the guys and the Lance’ Foundation will be grateful. Good luck fellas, see you when you get back.
