WK Interact @ The DPMHI Gallery
While we were in NYC last week we were lucky enough to find quite a few of WK Interact’s pieces (I say “lucky” - I dragged Em half way around the Villages and Lower East Side looking for them!). I had a great surprise when I got home when I found an email in my inbox to tell me about a WK exhibition that was headed to the UK in a few days time…bonus! Em and I popped up to London yesterday evening to check out the opening night of the show and I can report that it’s superb. There’s loads of great pieces either in frames or painted directly onto the walls, some T-shirts, prints and other bits and pieces scattered around. The limited edition (only 23) WK Interact - Exterior - Interior Act 2 book box sets were particularly impressive. I guess it’s also the only time that most of us will get the opportunity to play “WK Darts”…you’ll see! Anyway, it’s being hosted at the fantastic DPMHI store (2-3 GPS, Great Pulteney Street, Soho, London W1) and is open to the public till the 23rd of October 05. WK and DPMHI have done a great job of using the space so dynamically. I took a few photos while I was there so if you don’t think you’ll be able to check it out in person then take a look, if you can get down there you should because it’s a great show. I’m really glad I saw them in the flesh on the street first as it puts them into better perspective. Anyways, it was a great evening checking out a load of fantastic art, catching up with WK for a quick chat and generally having a nice time in London Town! Check all my WK photos here and my other WK related posts here.
