Ipswich Lomographers Exhibition

[...] we will see you all in Monday!

I managed to get a sneak peak at the Ipswich Lomographers debut exhibition at The Ancient House Gallery, in Ipswich, yesterday. It starts on Monday the 24th and goes on till Saturday the 31st (between 09:00 and 17:30). It’s a fantastic space to show photos and the exhibition looks mighty fine. If you’re in or around Ipswich sometime during next week then pop in and have a look. It’s got more colour in one place than Ipswich has ever seen! [The gallery is in the loft space; Go up the stairs in Lakeland Plastics and follow the pigeon!]

For those that don’t know the answer to “What is Lomo?” a friend recently found the answer on a news group in 2003…”lomography is like digital photography cept it uses film and you cant delete what you take.” There you go, beautifully articulated Ken. [via]

I hate the term “lomography.” The end result is a photograph, it’s photography. The material that the camera is made of does not change what it is.

Thanks buddy. It’s a shame it wasn’t a great piece of writing though…for some reason the writer mentions distortion about 80 times in speech marks when I didn’t mention it once!
