OpenOffice
Maybe I’m the last one to find out about OpenOffice. If I am, I apologise. However, if you’re in the market for Microsoft Office you may be interested to know that there’s a free alternative that’s completely compatible with the aforementioned software. It doesn’t have a version of Outlook but then there’s Mozilla’s Thunderbird for that I guess. Saying that it’s a bargain seems to be a complete understatement.

Yup, you’re right , it is. However, for the majority of users, like me, OpenOffice will do more than what I need it too.
May 23rd, 2007 at 5:16 pmholy christ hot damn. had never heard of this… i use word constantly but the dodgy market version i’d got for a tenner has just run out of that ‘use it 30 times for free’… god bless the open source crusade. and god bless geeks
