The Clinic
And I thought that Tokyo’s Alcatraz ER was cool. Check out The Clinic in Singapore. It’s a hospital themed restaurant with a difference. I can’t begin to tell you how much I would love to visit this place. [via]

Slow Glow Lamp (formerly known as the Fatlamp) is a huge bulb filled with fat instead of a vacuum. The light intensity increases over time as the fat slowly melts. [via]
Lettermade could well be my latest favourite project. I think that anyone who’s into font and type appreciation will also love it. Bradley Dicharry has travelled around and taken photos of old piece of typographic goodness. He’s collected them all in his online gallery and sells very limited runs of selected photos. They are all special but the railcars section is sublime. A beautiful celebration of the letterform. [via]
I can’t quite get my head around the GolfCross concept as far as understanding that you use a rugby ball/American football shaped golf ball. It seems quite strange that you play into a net instead of a hole too. Kind of looks like fun though…can’t be worse than standard golf!
Ever wondered what an city without adverts would look like? Well ad’s were banned in Sao Paulo recently and it’s left the place looking post-apocalyptic in places due to the actual advertising boards being let in situ without anything on them. Sao Paulo: The city that said No to Advertising. It’s an amazing story with an amazing visual result.
Face your pockets - Things that are living in the pockets of your bag, jeans or jacket: travel and pay checks, old cigarette pack that just looks interesting, sugar lumps and all the stuff that has found home in your pockets. They are all the treasures our project is looking for! [...] Place the objects on the scanner. Place your face/part of it on the scanner as well. [via]
It’s so great to get Graphotism in the post again. I stopped getting it for months ago as I was broke but now I’m back on track. Issue 46 landed on my doorstep and it was happy days again! It’s the usual fix of graff from all over the world with hundreds of photos of the best graff around. There are features on UK’s Yesb and Stika, Brookyn’s Savager, Italy’s Truly Design, the Montana Writer Team hit Brazil and not forgetting the choice selection of book and DVD reviews. Best of all though is the six pages at the begining highlighting the cream of the UK’s writers; Aroe, Rat, Odisie, Anie etc. Worth the asking price for those pages alone I reckon. If you don’t have a copy yet yourself, go check it out.
Another invigorating lecture from the Google HQ. This time, Lawrence Lessig discusses copyright and the effects on today’s culture. Brilliant stuff.
