Everything Is Miscellaneous
A friend of mine recently told me about Everything Is Miscellaneous: The Power of the New Digital Disorder is a book by David Weinberger. Inside, it discusses the history of categorisation and how the old Dewey Decimal Classification it’s defunct in our digital age. A quick Google later and I found this google video of David Weinberger discussing his book in front of Googlecorp’s workers in one of their Autors@Google sessions. Fascinating stuff in a geeky way! Anways, I’m quite taken with the whole idea but while I would love to delete all my categories and tag them instead I just don’t have the time. So, please feel free to consider my categories as tags!
