Perceptive Pixel Demo
Jefferson Han demonstrates his new multi-touch user interface, Perceptive Pixel. The future is here! Think Tom Cruise waving his hands around in from of that fancy computer interface in Minority Report and you’ll have the idea. Take a look how the date images are manipulated in real time. It’s really interesting to find out that people are more comfortable using a 2D touchable surface rather than using 3D space. I wonder if this will change in the future…time will tell I guess. Jeff has done some amazing pioneering work in the field of multi touch. Between his efforts, and the more recent ones by Microsoft’s Surface, this technology is going to grow quickly. Apple’s foray into multi touch with the iPhone is likely just going to wet the consumers taste for this new way of interacting with technology.
