Brian Dettmer’s Book Sculptures
I recently mentioned Brian Dettmer’s amazing heavy metal cassette tape skeleton but had previously been marvelling at his book sculptures. Pages from old books are carefully excised fro one another to create these amazingly intricate pieces of art. Take a close look and be amazed. via]
After coming across Dettmer’s work a few weeks back, I learned that a few of his pieces were on display here in Chicago. I have some photos of two of his pieces here. They’re even more jaw-dropping in person.
