Maclaim: Finest Photorealistic Graffiti
I finally got around to getting myself a copy of Maclaim: Finest Photorealistic Graffiti last week and it’s a great book. It’s a fine book and an insightful look into the Maclaim crew with I can imagine that many of the more hardcore graffiti writers would probably not be too impressed with the thought of using masking tape, stencils and pieces of string for make shift compasses but I think there’s definitely a place for people turning out this kind of photorealistic aerosol artistry. There are small introductions to each of artists in Maclaim, loads of images from projects over the years and some very interesting painting lessons too. There is of course a whole heap of production pieces that they’ve done together too that make this book a real winner if you’re into this kind of thing. Top stuff. It weighs in at 153 pages and is published by Publikat Verlags.
