hmmm, coincidental town, hello…
you posted this on the same day i saw work by a woman called lisa swerling in a suitably tiny exhibition in east london that reminded me of this little people thing. or, more than reminded me, smacked of outright copying. i was outraged. i’d loved the little people blog from the very start (2006), but here was someone copying. so i went home, google, and well, this woman has been making her stuff since 2002.
i hat to fling mud, and who’s to say there’s not someone else they both got their inspiration from. but some of these executions are too similar to be true.
the cigarette one at tope right of the examples of her work on her site was replicated identically in the little peopel blog for example:
