That’s a great idea. If you have a party it still provides people a place to sit but doesn’t allow them to get too comfortable, plus it protects the actual couch from spills, cigarette burns, et al. And I’m sure as a parent you also can appreciate being able to “have nice things.” Plus, of course, ease in moving. Right now it’s only a concept, but I’d love for Ikea or some other lo-cost furnisher to fasttrack this and make it relatively inexpensive; I can see this being essential to every twenty-something hipster’s pad.
