Akay’s projects and interventions are unique, interesting, intriguing and amusing in places too. Making money from an anti-graffiti fence… Take a look at this video. While it’s not typical of his other work it shows some real ingenuity, skill and determination. The term “time rich and cash poor” also spring to mind! [via]

I always imagined that Shawn Barber’s oil paintings would cost a fortune but I had no idea that his watercolours would be so reasonable, especially considering how huge he is as the moment. If only I had a spare couple of grand. Also, Barber’s posted a load of images of recent works. Some are already in the previous link but there are plenty of others.

Will Cotton has an obvious love for the female form as well as confectionery. I really love his cotton candy girls and there are quite a few to see over at his site (although most of the others aren’t safe for work). [via]

When you’ve already augmented small spaces with projected magic there’s only one way to go…large. Pablo Valbuena has now Augmented Space on the side of a high rise building and it’s as astonishing as it was previously.

Noah Scalin, the one-man-band behind the excellent Skull a Day (he literally made a skull every day for a year) project has finally had a book published, called Skulls, with 150 of the finest skulls from the first year’s creations. Looks great. Can’t wait to get a copy.
